• Seek acceptable alternatives to scarce or environmentally unfriendly material or product and promote the use of recyclable material and product.
• Commit to responsible purchasing practices and the sustainable use of natural raw materials where possible.
• Minimise the usage of energy resources through efficient processes and controls within our work environment.
• Minimise wastage through efficient processing and seek to recover as much as is economically possible ensuring the remainder is disposed of responsibly by recycling where possible.
• Apply environmental considerations to our own transport policy, both on site and to our delivery fleet.
• Encourage our suppliers and contractors to adopt the environmental standards to which Swan Mill Paper Company Limited operates.
